Shamanic Drumming

When I had my first experience with Shamanic healing, I was a bit trepidatious. My husband was so skeptical that he wouldn't have a session with someone who's card was displayed in his office. I ended up going for a session because I was so drawn to the idea...well, you can see how that turned out. My husband thought that if the Shaman got out a tambourine, he would be overcome with laughter and not be able to do the session and would upset his friend.
I get it, it can seem a bit weird, but it works. Humans have been doing this for centuries, across all continents. As my ancestors told me in a session, if one goes back far enough in their lineage, there is a drum. We all drum.
The goal of shamanic drumming is to enter into a dreamlike trance state. We can more easily access intuition and the worlds available to us in our own inner landscapes.
I particularly love Sandra Ingerman's shamanic drumming and I listen to it when I journey at home. The best is in person drumming, loud enough to feel it in your chest. We try and accomplish this in our journey group. Anyone can learn how to create sacred space and do shamanic drumming to access their own inner wisdom. I have a group that meets once a month on Tuesday evening. It's a great way to experience this for yourself. Journey Into the Shamanic World
If you are interested in diving deeper, I will be having a Shamanic Workshop on a weekend in October.
